What makes ListoAmerica different

Technology meets imagination.

ListoAmerica’s mission is to empower youth from marginalized communities to explore their ideas, develop new skills, and build confidence through the creative use of technology.

Our curiosity-focused learning spaces expand the creative learning model pioneered by the MIT Media Lab. Instead of teaching to the test, we create environments where youth can build projects that matter to them.

“Passion, Play, Peers, and Projects” guide everything we do. Youth learn by making, experimenting, and collaborating on work that reflects their own interests.

Mentorship

Mentors help youth build grit, curiosity, and confidence.

Many activities are led by energetic STEM-ready mentors who work alongside youth. Mentors facilitate activities, lead workshops, and build lasting relationships with participants. Through its participation in the IMPACTS program, ListoAmerica was also part of the mentoring community recognized when The Clubhouse Network received the 2019 Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring.

If you would like to become a mentor, ListoAmerica would love to hear from you.
